David and his wife Joan have owned property on Maple Lake for 45 years. Their next-door neighbours are son Michael, daughter-in-law Kim, and four tremendous grandchildren: Tyler, Jordyn, Zackary, and Abbygale.

David’s wife Joan, is descended from the Hannons of Orrville and the Atkinsons of Rosseau.

The Conn family is highly involved in community activities, including:

    • the Christie recreation committee, and Christie volunteer fire force

    • Minor hockey executive member and coach

    • a free Red Cross swim program on Maple Lake for 38 years
